Day 1: Los Angeles – Santa Barbara – Stanford – San Francisco (434 miles)
We will depart from Los Angeles in the morning and drive along the beautiful Pacific Coast Highway. We will stop at Santa Barbara and later Denmark Village in Solvang, CA around noon. After touring Solvang, we will have a stop at Stanford University. Afterwards, we will leave for San Francisco, CA.
Santa Barbara, CA Santa Barbara, also known as the “American Riviera”, is just 90 miles north of Los Angeles. Its natural beauty, pristine beaches, local-inspired gourmet cuisine, and nearby vineyards have been beckoning Southern Californians for years.
Solvang, CA Antiquated windmills and Northern Europeans-style architecture punctuate the little village’s skyline. Brilliant sunshine, boundless open country and rolling hills- these are the characteristics of what the original Danish immigrants called “Solvang” or “Sunny Field”.
Denmark Village This small city near Santa Barbara, California is a popular California tourist spot due to its historical significance. The town was settled by Danish immigrants, and today serves as a portal to the past for curious visitors.

Stanford University Located in northwestern Silicon Valley, this famous research institution is not just one of the best schools in the United States, but one of the top universities in the world. Its large campus is a sight to behold.

Day 2: San Francisco
In the morning, we will tour San Francisco, CA. Our tour will visit the stately Palace of Fine Arts, Golden Gate Bridge, Fishermen’s Wharf, Lombard Street, Union Square, San Francisco Chinatown and more. Guests may also choose to take a one-and-a-half hour Bay Cruise. At around 3:00pm, guests may decide to have some free time in the city or join the Extensive City Tour to see even more of the Bay Area’s wonderful sights. After dinner, we will transfer to our hotel.
San Francisco, CA San Francisco, the heart of central California’s Bay Area, is famous for its iconic Golden Gate Bridge, its unique culture, and its position at the forefront of technological innovation. Beautiful weather and waterfront views await visitors as well!

Fisherman’s Wharf This San Francisco neighborhood is a popular tourist area due to its lovely scenery and abundance of shops, restaurants, museums, and other attractions. The area also hosts several annual events, such as a July 4th fireworks show.

Palace of Fine Art The grandiosely-named Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, California is a huge, ornate outdoor structure that is part of the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Its amazing architecture has made it popular for weddings and photography.
Cable Cars San Francisco proudly boasts the last active cable car system in the world, used mostly by the city’s tourist population. Only three lines remain out of the original twenty-three. The first line was established in 1873.

Union Square This California Historical Landmark has become a popular tourist destination for both its historical significance and its shops and culture. The square itself is a public plaza, and the neighborhood extends for several blocks around it.
San Francisco Chinatown San Francisco’s incredibly famous Chinatown neighborhood in the oldest Chinatown in North America and the largest Chinese community outside of Asia. Established in 1848, this once-small enclave has grown to over 100,000 residents and draws tons of tourists annually.
Extensive San Francisco Tour This in-depth tour of the city allows guests time at more of the famous Bay Area sights like Cliff House, Twin Peak, City Hall, St. Mary’s Cathedral, and Castro Street.

Day 3: San Francisco – Yosemite National Park – Los Angeles (273 miles)
After departing from San Francisco in the morning, we will make our way back to Los Angeles via a stop at the magnificent Yosemite National Park, where we will see many of the park’s most famous sights. We will arrive in Los Angeles in the late evening. See “Departure and Return Details” for more information.
Yosemite National Park, CA Yosemite is one of the wonders of Nature. It is located near the geographical center of the Nevada mountain range. Towering granite rocks, mighty waterfalls and placid valleys give Yosemite all the aspects of a “land of the gods”.

El Capitan The largest granite monolith in the world, El Capitan is located across from Bridalveil Falls in Yosemite National Park. It juts up about 3,000 feet from the ground, and is a favorite of experienced rock climbers.

Yosemite Falls The Yosemite Falls in Yosemite National Park, California are the highest known waterfall in all of North America. The Falls are on one of the park’s most famous attractions, especially in the spring when they have the most water.

Tunnel View One of Yosemite National Park’s most popular outlooks, the Tunnel View near the Wawona Tunnel is often the first look at some of the famous formations visitors get. The site was renovated and re-dedicated in October of 2008.

Half Dome The Half Dome is one of the most recognizable formations in California’s Yosemite National Park. It is known the world over as a challenging and rewarding hiking and mountain climbing location, attracting thousands of adventurers every year.
